Job Search Assistance

Our Client Service Navigator is here to help you explore current job opportunities. There is a “job board” which is updated daily with local jobs and 2 client computers with internet access that are available free of charge to search the wider job market. Assistance is also available for all job seekers who have limited computer experience.

Resumes and Cover Letters

Our staff are experienced in assisting with both resumes and cover letters at every stage of your career. There are both reference materials (samples) and computers available to help you build your resume and cover letters. You can also make an appointment to meet with an Employment Counsellor to be sure you have all the right information on your resume and cover letter.

Employment Counselling

To explore your career options, make an appointment with our Employment Counsellor. Open Doors has access to the latest computer software “Career Cruising” and the counsellor can guide you through the program to help identify the job to suit your skills and interests.

Case Management

Job seekers wishing to access Provincially assisted programs, including Skills Development, require the support of a Case Manager. Some programs are available to all unemployed workers; a few are available only to unemployed workers who are EI clients.
